My Bedroom | Decorations

Sooo.... each time one of my friends enter my room, they always comment on how much they love it and wish it was theirs. One of the main questions they ask me is where I get my decorations from. So I have searched the web finding the objects in my room or similar to share with you guys and hopefully inspire you with decorating any of your rooms.

Wood Letter K - £2.99 ebay

This really pretty letter K is made from wood. It has red, cream and almost grey/blue stripes painted diagonally down the letter. Each stripe is a completely different size to the one next to it. This is a nice feature as it mixes up the pattern giving it a quirky feel to it. The letter has a Gold metal hoop attached to it, connecting ribbon so it can be hung on anything. The ribbon is really white with a navy blue outline. The letter has been slightly scratched/rubbed down to give it a shabby chic look.

Memo Board - www.notonthehighstreet.com £15+

This memo board can be used for both practical and fun use. You can hang either pictures of you and friends, magazine cut outs or even things you need to remember (e.g. shopping lists). My memo board has white elastic ribbon which allows you to hold up objects easily and securely. It has a pastel blue back colour, with different types of pink flowers and green leaves. My memo board is in the shape of a cup cake. The pink button represents a cherry placed on top of a cup cake. Through the middle of the memo board is a pink laced ribbon. I love ribbon as it adds character to an object.

Butterfly clips - http://www.aliexpress.com/

These are a really cool feature to add to any room or even out house. These butterfly's come in all different colours, blue, white, pink, green, and many more. The butterfly's i chose for my room have little oval shape sequins attached on the wings. If you look carefully at the white butterfly's wing you can see triangular shaped glitter patches. I love this feature as it adds quirkiness. Each butterfly's come in different sizes. The picture on the left has a big blue butterfly with two separate wings, the smaller on top of the bigger one. This butterfly is about the size of your face. I have two of the big ones which I keep on either side of some shelves in my room. The smaller butterfly's are about the size of your palm. I tend to put these all over my room in different places, just to make my room feel more nature like. I brought all my butterfly's on a market stool, but in the title above is a website so you can buy your own if you never come across any.

Home Baked sign - £3.50 Next

Now I love this sign and hope to put it in my kitchen when I move out. This is defiantly a shabby chic looking product. It is made from a metal like material and had "HOME BAKED with love..." printed on to it in navy and red. It has a double boarder going around the outside on top of a cream back colour. It also has a faded effect to it. This sign reminds me of the war when they use to have to bake as much things with as little ingredients as possible. The sign has two holes poked through the upper corners with a thin metal wire hooking over the top allowing you to hang it up on anything.

LOVE Wooden Heart Bunting

 http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/

This bunting is made up from wood that's cut into hearts and then thinly painted white and slightly rubbed down to give it a faded effect so its shabby chic. In the centre of each big heart is a light brown letter that all together spell LOVE. The little hearts are also made from wood but are kept brown. Every heart has a hole drilled through the top horizontally. Through these holes a semi-thick brown string is threaded through to produce the bunting line. At either end a hoop is tied so its easy to hook either end on something to hang it up.

Blue Rounded Glass Vase - Ikea

This vase can be used for earnings, hold scented wood, candles, keys, money and much more. As you can see my vase is full with glass marbles which you can get at http://www.theglasspebbleshop.co.uk/ The vase itself has a pattern which makes it look cracked or even like scales. This is a really nice feature as it gives the vase character and isn't just a boring smooth glass.

Candles - ASDA

These candles are a light blue colour and came in a pack of four with two darker colours included. Now I got these a while ago so I don't know where they came from. But when I went on the ASDA website I found similar, if not better candles which I think you guys would enjoy.

Pebbles - Beach

Every single time I ever went to the beach I always liked the look of these pebbles. When I went to the shop a few months ago I saw pebbles exactly like these. But they were so expensive. So the next time I went to the beach I filled my pockets with some pebbles which I keep around my room on shelf's and table tops.

Woven Heart - Notonthehighstreet.com

This woven heart has silky white ribbon through the top of it allowing it to be hung wherever. It is cream and very popular among teenage girls at the moment. I go this one for Christmas from my family so I don't know the exact price or shop name. When I looked on the internet i came across some similar types for around £6.99 each. They come in all different shapes and sizes, my one is about the size of both your hands put together.

 Flower and Vase - IKEA

Everything you see in this photo is from IKEA about two years ago. Obviously you won't always be able to purchase the same as mine, but when I looked on like they have very similar items. The vase I have is blue and it goes from being wide to really thin to a wider base. Exactly like an hour glass figure (but smaller on top). The flower Is also from IKEA. I saw it in the bedroom area when I went so I decided to take it as I couldn't find where they were. Surprise! more butterfly's, yet this time they are all coming off the same stick. These are 100% glittered head to toe. Yet again I have the glass pebbles in the bottom, just to add layers to this feature. All together with IKEA being a cheap place this cost about £12

DISNEY SNOW GLOBES!! - Disney Store

I Love Disney!! These three snow globes stay on my shelf all the time. The really big snow globe I got from California Disney in America when I went there for Halloween. It has Micky and Minnie in the centre and all the other main Disney characters around the outside. The other two snow globes are from the Disney stores and they were about £20 each maybe more. The best place for Disney ordainments now are H.M.Samuel.

LOVE Sign with photo frame - Notonthehighstreet.com

This LOVE sign is made from wood and painted cream. each edge has been sanded down to give it a shabby chic look to it. The O is actually a photo frame where you can keep you favourite photo inside. This Sign is about 50cm long and 30cm high. You can get different types of these signs, some saying friends, family, home and much more. Also you can get ones with the O being a clock, mirror or just a normal letter. These can come in smaller sizes or larger sizes too. You can also buy signs which can hang on the wall. These can cost from £4.99 upwards.

3 Row Photo Hanger - Notonthehighstreet.com

This I got for my birthday last year. Its soo pretty. Each frame is connected by white silk ribbon which is tied at the top and can be hung up anywhere. In the middle of each white photo frame is a heart boarder. On the boarder is some groves to make a quirky knitted pattern. at the bottom and up the majority of one side are some roses. This patten appears on every frame. This photo holder can cost about £7.99. The photos are really easy to put in as well. Just open the metal hooks at the back, take the black protector off. Then put the photos in and put the protector back on and close the hooks again.
